Be sure and find something to laugh about today... it’s good for your health. King Solomon wrote this proverb about 3,000 years ago, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” (17:22) Modern-day scientists have finally discovered the benefits of what the Bible has said for thousands of years. Researches have found that hearty laughter increases blood flow by 22 percent. It is also suggested that laughing may improve arterial health by reducing mental stress, which constricts vessels and hampers blood flow. Michael Miller reports in New Scientist that a healthy lifestyle would include 30 minutes of exercise three times a week and 15 minutes of hearty laughter each day. So be healthy today... laugh a little! It’s good medicine!
